The businessman José Roberto Pereira do Nascimento, JR, is completing one year ahead of the presidency of the PMDB Itanhaém. Like his predecessor Marc Fortuna, the trajectory of the party during this period is marked by frequent participation in important debates, seeking the economic and social development  of the city and welfare of the population.

Ze Roberto is pre-candidate for mayor to the next municipal election. PMDB, which once was called MDB, already elected three mayors in Itanhaém: Dr. Edson in 1982, Jaime Carrasco in 1988 and John Carrasco in 1996.

Continuing the excellent work that was being developed during Marc Fortuna's administration, since his inauguration as PMDB president in March 2010, Ze Roberto continues attracting the participation of businessmen, shopkeepers and sector leaders to the Party.

The businessman and pre-candidate for mayor Ze Roberto was president of the Commercial Association of Itanhaém for two terms, with satisfactory results for the business class. According to Ze Roberto, the main goal for PMDB is now the orderly growth of the city. "We´re seeing some movement on Petrobras and commercial activities, with new ones coming. But the town can´t attract investments without having an updated legislation. Our proposal is that the Master Plan, for example, passes for an urgent review, with the participation of the whole society. "

Being for more than 2 decades on PMDB, Marc Fortuna (former president of PMDB Itanhaém and former regional president of South Coast and Ribeira Valley Representation of the Foundation Ulysses Guimarães - FUG SP), the administration of  Ze Roberto front PMDB Itanhaém is excellent, taking into account the common difficulties in administering a Party of such magnitude as PMDB.

Fortuna, who currently heads  the Information Office of the Deputy Mayor (and pre-candidate for mayor) Ruy Santos, acknowledges the work of Ze Roberto as the leader of the Party. "I was talking with the vice-president Michel Temer and also with the new state party chairman Baleia Rossi, and praised the excellent work Ze Roberto is doing, keeping the same guidelines for growth of the party that we had during my mandate. We now need to rescue the political training courses in town, and  I already put myself at the disposal of the president to assist in this area, "said Fortuna.
